Welcome to the Association of Incident, Fraud & Claims Investigators. The Association was originally formed in 2002 and was established to support claims investigators involved in personal injury investigation. Today the Association numbers over 1,000 members who are involved in the whole gamut of investigation work.
The Association only supports those investigators who have achieved a qualification which is recognised nationally or accredited by universities. The Association welcomes application for membership from those investigators who hold qualifications which are outlined on our accreditations page.
The Associations board members incorporate professionals involved in all manner of investigation work and our working groups headed up by our officers are aimed at providing technical and legislation updates to our members.
Licencing for PI's
It will not be long now October 2014 (Est) until all Private Investigators will require an SIA license regardless of their employment status (employed or self employed). This means that investigators employed by insurance companies will need to be licenced if they carry out any investigation process detailed in the Codes of Practice for Private Investigation. This is an ideal time for the training of investigators in advance of the new regulation as those that undertake recognised formal training will be exempt from taking the introductory 5 day course currently being developed.
